Car Accident Chiropractor for the East Bay

Oakland Accident Care is a chiropractic clinic in downtown Oakland that sees only people hurt in motor vehicle collisions, from Oakland and across the East Bay. The first visit is an exam, and what it finds is written down from that visit on. Same-day slots are held for new accident patients. Auto insurance, MedPay, PIP, and liens accepted.

Who we see

Drivers and passengers hurt in a crash, people hit while walking or riding a bike, and rideshare drivers hurt on the job. The clinic sees only people hurt in motor vehicle collisions. You don’t need a lawyer or a referral to be seen; do I need a lawyer to see a chiropractor? explains why.

Two doctors treat here: Dr. Ben Glass, DC, in English and Spanish, and Dr. Irina Velichko, DC, in English and Russian, whose focus is extremity injuries: shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle and foot. Which doctor is right for a first visit after a crash, and when the emergency room comes first, is on which doctor to see after a car accident.

Where we are

Downtown Oakland, near 8th Street and Broadway. The nearest BART station, 12th St./Oakland City Center, is about a 7-minute walk; Lake Merritt station is about 12 minutes on foot. Both walking times were measured for this site.

From the I-880 corridor

BART. From Hayward or South Hayward, BART’s Orange line toward Richmond runs to 12th St. Oakland City Center with no transfer (the Hayward page has the times). From Coliseum or Fruitvale, the Dublin/Pleasanton–Daly City, Richmond–Berryessa/North San Jose and Berryessa/North San Jose–Daly City lines all stop at Lake Merritt. From San Leandro or Bay Fair it is a few stops to downtown Oakland.

Bus. AC Transit’s Tempo Line 1T runs between San Leandro BART and Uptown Oakland by way of International Boulevard and East 14th Street, to 11th and 12th streets downtown.

Driving. Take I-880 north into downtown Oakland. No drive time is given here because none was measured for this page; the Hayward page lists the one drive the site has measured.

Bus. From the I-580 side of East Oakland, AC Transit Line 14 runs by way of High Street, MacArthur Boulevard and 14th Street to 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART.

Driving. Head into downtown Oakland; no route or drive time from the I-580 side has been measured for this site, so none is given.

From the north and west

From West Oakland BART, the Antioch–SFIA/Millbrae and Richmond–Millbrae/SFIA lines stop at 12th St./Oakland City Center, and AC Transit Line 62 runs along 7th Street, the block south of the clinic. From Alameda, the Posey Tube or the Park Street Bridge leads into downtown Oakland. From Berkeley and Emeryville, Telegraph, Shattuck, San Pablo Avenue or Hollis Street run south into downtown Oakland.

Transit lines and stations are as the area pages report them, from BART station pages and AC Transit’s Maps & Schedules read October 12, 2026, and BART’s schedule checked October 5, 2026.

What hurts after a crash

Each of these starts with the signs that mean the emergency room first.

Languages

You are seen directly in English, Spanish or Russian, with no interpreter: Spanish with Dr. Glass, Russian with Dr. Velichko. The Spanish pages start at atención en español.

Paying for care

Get examined as soon as you can. An early, dated exam starts your record from the beginning.

Auto insurance, MedPay, PIP, and liens accepted.

The clinic does not bill health insurance or workers' comp. We check your policy before your first visit, and what you owe is confirmed in writing before your first visit. Which coverage may apply to your crash, in the usual order, is on who pays for my care after a car accident.

Ask for a call back

Leave a first name and number. We'll call you back within 30 minutes during clinic hours; outside clinic hours, first thing the next morning.
